We are actively seeking physically strong, energetic, and highly reliable individuals to join our terminal operations team. As a Part-Time Freight Distribution Associate, you will be primarily responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to unload trailers, sort freight by destination, and build outbound loads. Comprehensive Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate propane or electric sit-down forklifts continuously to move irregular, heavy freight across the distribution dock.
- Freight Sorting & Transloading: Read load manifests and scanner directives to identify incoming pallets, transferring them efficiently from inbound to outbound 53-foot trailers.
- Load Optimization: Stack and arrange freight strategically inside trailers to balance weight distribution, prevent crush damage, and maximize cube space.
- Safety Adherence: Maintain a clean, hazard-free dock, strictly adhering to all OSHA and internal safety guidelines, including reporting damaged freight immediately.
